Meeting Place and Time: Meeting point will be Oilville Park and Ride at 7:30. Bring $10 to give to your driver. If you are not in the RVA area, contact the hike leader to make arrangements to meet at the trailhead.

Hike Details: We will start at the White Gap trailhead and hike clockwise, arriving down at the Sherando Lake picnic area midway through the hike, where we will stop for lunch. The fall foliage should be at peak color! The return trip will be almost all uphill, but not very steep. Here is the full hike description:

This hike generally takes about 5 hours. It is 9 miles with almost 2,000 feet of total elevation. We will not be on a timetable but if you can't do this hike in about 5 hours please do not sign up.
We will have lunch at the lake, but would love to stop for a beer on the way home if you are interested.
